WHO WE ARE
We were founded on August 23, 2009 as a mission church from New Covenant Baptist Church–Seattle.
We became LIFE Christian Church on April 12, 2015 with a vision to be a local church that has L.I.F.E. in Christ.
We are a church family dedicated to building our relationship with Jesus Christ and with each other. The Word of God is essential
to our faith. We seek to understand and obey God and His Word through Bible Studies, LIFE Groups, Prayer and Preaching.
In our church we strive to love others as Christ has first loved us and build genuine relationships where each person is a recipient
of God’s love and care. We are committed to making disciples of all nations to be shepherds of God’s flock carrying out the good work God calls us to in our local and international missions.
Our Pastor, Shaw Okawara, originally from Okinawa and his wife, Noe, originally from Seattle. Pastor Shaw is a bi-vocational
pastor, also working as Physical Therapist. They have three young children and consider it the highest honor to love and serve
God and His people.
CORE VALUES
LORDSHIP (John 14:15):
We believe Jesus is our Savior and Lord, and we are
committed to obey Him.
We surrender our lives and purpose in obedience to His will.
INSTRUCTED BY THE WORD OF GOD AND PRAYER (2 Tim 3:16, Acts 2:42):
We trust the Bible is the inspired Word of God and we study and obey it.
Studying the Bible and prayer are essential spiritual disciplines
in drawing closer to God.
FELLOWSHIP (Acts 2:42, John 13:34):
We strive for genuine relationships where each person is loved and cared
for just as Christ loved us.
EVANGELISM & EQUIPPING LEADERS (Matt 28:18-20, Acts 1:8):
We believe in sharing the Gospel to the ends of the earth and raising
leaders to perpetuate Jesus’ Great Commission.
